VSP International INC continues its technical support for community solar plants, providing free maintenance training in 15 villages this year. 87 trained residents (including 52 women) can now independently perform routine tasks like panel cleaning and inverter troubleshooting. This reduced system downtime by 65%, ensuring 4,200 households access stable clean power at $0.08/kWh (1/3 the cost of diesel). VSP engineers conduct monthly remote diagnostics and quarterly on-site calibrations. "We used to wait days for technicians, now we fix minor issues ourselves," said villager Rosa Mendoza while cleaning panels. The program has run for three years, cumulatively saving 420,000 liters of diesel.
